Three Things To Do Before Your Chrysler Warranty Expires

A little Chrysler service can go a long way to protecting your vehicle and keeping it safe and comfortable on every ride. This is especially important if your warranty is about to expire since repairs will become more costly. Learn about the top services to schedule for your Chrysler before the warranty expires with support from Hunt Chrysler Center. more Get it Inspected The more you know about the condition of your vehicle, the more protected you’ll be against potential costs or repair needs in the future. In most cases, inspections are covered by your warranty, which means it won’t cost anything out of pocket for you to get your vehicle looked over. Your expert team will let you know if there are any parts or systems in your vehicle that are in need of wear. If the warranty still covers them, you’ll be able to get those tasks performed before your warranty officially runs out. Check for Recalls Another thing you want to look for before the end of your warranty is vehicle recalls. If parts or accessories have been recalled, getting those parts replaced or repaired is a good idea. While most recalls will be addressed free of charge, the more quickly you can address those recalls and get repairs while you’re covered, the better. Consider Extended Warranty Options If you’re planning on keeping the vehicle in the family for several more years, you may want to extend the current warranty. There are many different factors to consider when extending your warranty coverage, like vehicle age and mileage, and you always want to compare potential service costs against the extended warranty cost. How is Chrysler Service Different for PHEVs?

Boasting the low emissions of an electric vehicle and the freedom of a traditional gas-fueled car, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) has become an ideal solution for the modern driver. At Hunt Chrysler Center in Franklin, Kentucky, the Chrysler Pacifica has become a favorite of our customers looking for an eco-friendly yet practical vehicle. But do PHEVs have different Chrysler service needs? more How to Service a Chrysler Hybrid SUV In many respects, a PHEV like the Chrysler Pacifica is no different than many other cars on the market. On the other hand, a hybrid fuel model requires specialized maintenance of several of its electric-enabled parts, including: Charging port – A PHEV's charging port must be inspected for damage or debris. As you can imagine, a malfunctioning charging port can severely limit the functionality of your vehicle! Hybrid battery – Like any other battery, a PHEV’s hybrid battery must operate at peak capacity. However, the electric functionality of a PHEV requires a specialized battery that may not be available for repair or replacement at all retailers. Brakes – Hybrid vehicles use regenerative braking technology to charge the battery while driving. In the case of brake binding, the brake pads inhibit this function, preventing charging and even slowing the vehicle while driving. Contact Hunt Chrysler Center for Qualified PHEV Service With Chrysler continually pushing the bounds of consumer automotive technology, not every auto garage or car repair technician is qualified to service a PHEV. Be careful not to entrust your Chrysler plug-in hybrid to a service center lacking the tools and know-how to keep your PHEV running smoothly. When you need expert car care in Franklin, KY, all you need to do is call, click, or visit Hunt Chrysler Center!

Hunt Chrysler Center explains the Trail Rated badge’s meaning and how a Jeep vehicle earns one. more What Is the Jeep Trail Rated Badge? Water Fording – Is the bottom of the vehicle sufficiently sealed to protect its air intake and vulnerable electronics systems? Articulation – Can the vehicle maintain stability when one or more tires is off the ground? How Does a Jeep SUV Earn a Trail Rated Badge? Hunt Chrysler Center can help if you've been turned down for Chrysler financing

What To Do if You're Turned Down for Chrysler Financing

If you have been turned down for Chrysler financing, don’t panic. There are several ways to improve your application, and our team at Hunt Chrysler Center is ready to walk you through the steps. With a bit of time and an open mind, you’ll be on the road to your new car. more Find a Co-Signer If you need a car immediately and have someone willing to put their credit on the line, adding a co-signer is a great way to improve your application. Your co-signer needs to have a solid credit history, as it will be combined with yours and considered together. Be careful not to fall behind, or both parties’ credit history will suffer damage. Work On Your Credit Score Raising your credit score isn’t something that can be done overnight, but it’s the best way to improve your application the next time around. Work on reducing your credit card balances and catching up on past-due payments, and avoid making new credit applications until you know you’re in a better place. Aim for a credit score above 670 to hit the “good” range and have a better chance. Buy a New Car Instead of Leasing Leasing is a great way for many drivers to get behind the wheel of a new Chrysler car. However, there’s a catch: this isn’t always viable for drivers with bad credit because leasing requires a higher credit score. A car loan may provide drivers more leeway than they’d receive with a lease. Apply for Financing at Hunt Chrysler Center We’re committed to getting you behind the wheel at Hunt Chrysler Center. LATCH System Illustration

Ask Hunt Chrysler Center: How to Use the LATCH System

At Hunt Chrysler Center, child passenger safety is one of our top priorities. If you use or are planning to use a car seat for one of your passengers, learn the LATCH system, designed to make installing seats more straightforward and safer. more What Is the LATCH System? The LATCH system (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) was introduced in 2002 to standardize installation for car seats and make them safer. Car seat installation can be tricky for parents to do at home without support, and some studies estimate that up to three out of every four car seats is not installed correctly. The LATCH system makes setting up your car seat more accessible than ever and gives you peace of mind knowing the seat will stay in place in case of an accident. How Do I Use LATCH? All new vehicles feature at least two lower anchor points and three tether anchor points. Your owner’s manual will tell you their location; find them and place the car seat appropriately. If you’re using a front-facing seat, attach the tethers to the tether anchor points and pull to tighten the strap, even if you use a seat belt to secure the chair. The lower anchor points are an alternative to a seat belt, so tuck the seat belts out of the way if you're using them. Then, attach the lower anchors to the anchor points and pull them to tighten. The child seat should move no more than an inch in any direction. RAM 2500 with Crew Cab

Double Cab vs. Crew Cab: How to Choose

If you are shopping for a new RAM truck, there is one question you will inevitably ask yourself: double cab vs crew cab trucks? Both are very popular with drivers at Hunt Chrysler Center and deliver the same dominant RAM power. We’ll help you make the right choice for your business or family. What’s the Difference Between Cab Types? We’ve come a long way since the days when a standard cab with a bench seat was the only option. Now there are two more configurations in the mix. Although it isn’t immediately clear from the names, a crew cab is larger than a double cab. Crew cabs are popular with drivers who will be bringing more friends or a larger crew along for the drive, while a double cab is perfect if you’re more focused on hauling as much as you can in your truck bed since they’re typically available with longer bed lengths. Do I Need a Crew Cab? Crew cabs come closer to the cabin experience of a modern two-row SUV, giving rear passengers more legroom and the added convenience of an extra side door. Going with the smaller double cab design usually means more truck bed space. However, you’ll still need to talk to your RAM dealer because more than one size may be available to both configurations (though all else being equal, double cabs usually offer the bigger options). Explore Our Selection at Hunt Chrysler Center Whether you’re looking for a family vehicle with room for everything you want to bring along or your next job site companion, we’ve got your next truck at Hunt Chrysler Center. Visit our Franklin RAM showroom and take one for a test drive, then talk to our finance team about applying for RAM financing today!

Your brake system is essential to keeping you safe on the road, and any issues should be addressed as soon as they rear their head. August is Brake Safety Awareness Month, making this an excellent opportunity for Chrysler service at Hunt Chrysler Center to ensure your vehicle is up to the task of protecting its passengers. more Do I Need a Check-Up? Regarding safety, your brakes are one of the most essential systems in your vehicle. If your brake light indicates a potential problem, don’t delay coming in for a tune-up. Likewise, if you notice unusual sights, sounds, or other unusual activity while applying the brakes, from squealing or grinding noises to visible smoke or smells, that’s another reminder to schedule service. Finally, checking your brakes out is a priority if you notice any performance issues, including slowness in coming to a stop, vibration, or other feedback in your steering wheel. Can Chrysler Financing Hurt Your Credit Score?

Hunt Chrysler Center knows that auto financing can be confusing. From choosing whether to buy or lease to understanding the impact of auto financing on your credit score, there’s much to keep track of. This guide will help you navigate Chrysler financing while maintaining your credit health. more Car Financing and Credit Inquiries There are two ways to compare rates among lenders. One, pre-qualifying for financing, provides a bird’s eye view of your credit using a soft inquiry; this does not affect your credit. The other, applying for financing, involves a more granular examination called a hard inquiry; this will cause a slight but temporary credit score decrease. Short-Term: Timely Payments are Key Even a minor hit can be frustrating if you’re building your credit or safeguarding what you’ve already built. However, your score will bounce back if your loan or lease payments are on time. After all, consistent payment history is one of the major factors credit bureaus consider when determining your credit score. Long-Term: How Financing Helps Your Credit Score Though there may be a slight dip initially, diversifying your credit mix and responsibly managing your auto loan can positively affect your credit.
