Engine, Cab, and Bed Options
Two mighty engines power the RAM 2500. The pickup’s base engine is a 6.4-liter V8 powerplant, producing 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. A turbocharged 6.7-liter six-cylinder Cummins® diesel engine is available, and it delivers a stout 850 lb-ft of torque and 370 horsepower.
You have three cab choices: regular, crew, and mega. All cabs have 40.9 inches in the front row. Passengers in the rear row of the crew and mega cabs have 40.2 and 43.1 inches of legroom, respectively.
A pair of beds are offered within the truck’s lineup. The six-foot-four-inch bed measures 57.5 cubic feet, while the eight-foot bed can haul 74.7 cubic feet of cargo.
Some drivers hesitate to purchase or lease a pickup from our Franklin, KY, RAM dealership because they fear the ride will be disquieting. That’s not the case with the RAM 2500, however. The truck’s coil-spring suspension beautifully maintains the cab’s serenity, while the optional air suspension provides an even smoother ride.
